“The Elements of Ritual” by Deborah Lipp. It is aimed at Wiccans, but works as a kind of “grammar” of basic ritual forms and helps you figure out when things make sense.
“Ecstatic Body Positions” by Felicitas Goodman and Belinda Gore. Visits to archaeological museums will never be the same again!
